Us with the bouffants we said we wouldn’t be getting in last week’s episode of ‘Geriaric Coffee Convos’.

Sonia’s Christmas Margarita Recipe:

3 parts Newman’s Own Organic Limeade with a squeeze or two of fresh lime juice, 1 Part Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice, as much tequila as your geriatric mama heart desires, cranberries, a lime wedge and a rosemary sprig to garnish. I love my festive whiskey glasses from Target, (not sponsored), so I usually use one of those; tis’ the season! Cheers!

Tiffany Togo: Stassi's Lurking Neighbor Bestie & Fellow Millennial Mom Podcast Episode:

What’s been helping Sonia get Annabelle to listen more and feel more in control, because… toddlers:

From @ConsciousParentingLifestyle on Instagram:

“Here's my Top Secret on how I got my child to listen to me

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Step 1: For the love of everything STOP counting to five. Counting to five just teaches your child that they don't have to listen the first time you say something and that the number 5 is somehow more important than your instruction.

*Assuming you have already given a time warning a few minutes before as to give them a heads up to mentally

Step 2: Give a choice where both choices end up with the tv off ("Would you like to turn it off or should I?")

Step 3: If they don't make a choice and argue against it altogether, follow through on your end ("ok since you don't want to turn it off, I will be the one to do it"). And then ACTUALLY turn it off.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY: Do not give in to the emotion of the situation. No matter how much whining, crying, screaming or begging there is you are COOL, CALM & COLLECTED. You are kind but your instruction was non-negotiable.”

Hilary Swank is called Irresponsible for becoming a mum at 48, why do we not have the same energy for older dads like 83-year-old Al Pacino?

When it was revealed earlier this week that Al Pacino was set to become a father again at 83, the first person I thought of was Hilary Swank. And no, not just because they starred in the 2002 Christopher Nolan film Insomnia together.

I thought of Swank because she became a mother earlier this year for the first time aged 48. In doing so, she seemingly invited a pile on from internet trolls claiming that her decision to become a mother in her 40s was “irresponsible”
